The brief was to design a movie poster for a tribute movie week for late director, John Hughes. John Hughes had an ear for teen speak and effectively portrayed the teen experience in his movies. The idea was to use elements which related to this experience to convey the themes and emotions of teen life and its complexities. The colour palette was chosen based on 80's influence.
